Healthy Caprine | Biomedical Research Caprine:
We are able to provide Boer and Spanish strains. Both breeds are quite hardy and adapt to a research environment readily.

The porcine model we provide is obtained from a known breeder. Typically, the domestic swine are of a Yorkshire cross strain.

When 4B Livestock was created we were asked to deliver a bovine model that was healthy, smaller than available breeds commonly used, and hardy with a docile nature. With our background in the agriculture field we felt this was a request well within our scope. The bovine model we provide for biomedical research is smaller than the common beef breeds available and is a much slower growing bovine. This translates into a better survivability of your chronic study protocols. 4B Livestock’s bovine model is a genetically smaller specimen. Since this model is genetically predisposed to be smaller this results in a more mature model that will fit your required weight ranges for your protocols. 4B Livestock owns and breeds this model for your facility.
