The sheep model we provide is acquired and quarantined at our facility for an appropriate amount of time before arriving at your facility.

The ovine model is a domestic crossbred species. We have found that the Suffolk or Hampshire breeds typically adjust better to laboratory conditions.

They also tend to have a more docile nature and welcome human contact. The ovine model is vaccinated for Clostridial disease and tetanus. An appropriate antibiotic and deworming regimen is followed.
